October 2026 — Maizen (known in China as 海龟兄妹), the Minecraft-themed YouTube channel, has delivered 300 videos to KidsFan for release in China simultaneously with YouTube. KidsFan holds exclusive rights to Maizen in China, covering adaptation, derivative works, merchandising and commercial use, and is responsible for Chinese localization and domestic distribution of the new content.

Chinese audiences will now see new JJ and Mikey content at the same time as viewers worldwide.
What 300 Videos Signal
Maizen is a Minecraft-themed YouTube channel with more than 17.8 million subscribers, home to the duo JJ (red hoodie) and Mikey (green turtle), each with an official Minecraft block-figure look and a 2D look.

KidsFan's exclusive China rights to Maizen took effect in October 2025. A year later, Maizen has delivered 300 videos at once and asked for simultaneous release. The partnership has moved from licensing to synchronized operation at scale, with China now on the same release schedule as the rest of the world.
What Simultaneous Release Changes
- For viewers: Chinese children no longer have to wait, or turn to unauthorized re-uploads, to see new episodes.
- For pirates: Unauthorized re-uploads in China usually trade on the names "JJ and Mikey" (杰杰和麦琪) and "Maizen." They draw traffic by exploiting the delay before official content arrives. Simultaneous release removes that window.
- For copyright protection: KidsFan already has a court precedent. In 2025, it sued a verified Douyin account that re-uploaded Maizen content; a Guangzhou court awarded RMB 88,300 in damages, and the case is now closed.
"Delivering 300 videos at once and asking for release in step with YouTube shows Maizen's trust in how we operate," said Ray, Chief Executive Officer of KidsFan. "Our job is to make sure children in China see JJ and Mikey at the same time as children everywhere, and that what they see is the official version."
